From a local need to growing living soil

Humus Recicla grew from the search for a suitable growing medium for a mushroom project started in 2013. After learning about vermiculture during his university placement at CONAF, Felipe Altamirano developed vermicomposter prototypes, began recovering plant waste and turned that knowledge into products, organic recycling and environmental education for Arica and Parinacota.
